Come enjoy the outdoors and make a difference with Heal the Bay’s Stream Team! Heal the Bay is partnering with the Mountains Restoration Trust to restore areas of Malibu Creek State Park.

Invasive plants have negative impacts on natural habitats, so removing them is vital for a healthy watershed. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while helping remove non-native vegetation in an effort to restore native plants along Malibu Creek and its many tributaries.

• Please wear sturdy shoes
• Bring plenty of water and a snack
• Bring sunscreen/hat
• Be prepared to get dirty
• Gloves and tools will be provided.

Directions: Request a parking pass for the Heal the Bay/Mountains Restoration Trust restoration event at the front gate. We'll meet in the lower parking lot at the picnic tables near the restroom (second big parking lot). If you are coming South on Las Virgenes Road, the park entrance is 0.2 miles south of Mulholland. If you are coming North on Malibu Canyon Road, the park entrance is 1.5 miles north of the crossing with Piuma. There is another entrance for Malibu Creek SP/Tapia south of the main entrance, 0.2 miles north of Piuma-- do not enter here but continue on another 1.3 miles to the main entrance.

All participants must sign liability waiver forms. 

This event is open to volunteers age 10 and over. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Those under 18 must have their waiver forms (also available at the event) signed by a parent or guardian.
